I am an Associate Professor of Philosophy at UNSW Sydney.
I work mainly in the intersection of epistemology of philosophy of mind and epistemology. In recent years I have published in the philosophy of action, the theory of reasoning, self-knowledge, and time travel (with Michaelis Michael). I have also published on Kant, sometimes with Melissa Merritt. But I enjoy reading and discussing stuff in all sorts of different areas, in philosophy and outside of it.
I recently took part in the Philosophy by Postcard project, a 'slow-philosophy' project organised by the Irish Post and the In Parenthesis group to commemorate the centenary of Iris Murdoch. 100 philosophers around the world signed up to answer questions, by postcard, from membeers of the public. You can see the questions and answers here.
I completed my PhD in Philosophy in 2008, and the University of Pittsburgh. Before that, I studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at NTUA, in Athens, Greece.
I am currently working on Knowledge in Action, a 3-year project (2020-2022) funded by the Australian Research Council (DP200101045). You can read more about it here.
Since 2013, I have been an Associate Editor of the Australasian Journal of Philosophy.
